BEQUESTS

In addition to making provisions for your loved ones, a Will is an easy way to make a donation. In helping you plan for bequests, we are happy to assist with sample wording to you or your lawyers regarding direction of the gift, and you will be invited to provide information about the bequest to HFHM. A bequest often lowers taxes assessed against an estate.

If HFHM receives a bequest that is designated to a service or activity in which HFHM is no longer engaged, staff, in consultation with HFHM and the estate’s executor, will investigate alternate designations.

HFHM encourages and solicits contributions of cash, and personal and real property, either as outright gifts or through planned gift vehicles that conform with the rules and regulations or guidelines outlined by the CRA and any other applicable laws.
