Host a Habitat Event

3rd party events are a great way to help raise funds for the Habitat for Humanity Muskoka build program and at the same time have a little fun.

Each year Habitat for Humanity Muskoka benefits from a number of community fundraisers, held by individuals like you. Whether you'd like to host a bake sale, a car wash, or a party, we can provide you with plenty of information on planning a successful event.

If you would like to support Habitat for Humanity Muskoka and need a little inspiration, here are some great ideas for fundraising events:

Please remember that before hosting an event, you will need to receive approval from Habitat for Humanity Muskoka. Download the 3rd Pary Events Application Form.

Event Ideas:

• A-thons:
  Walk, skip, read, bike, dance, knit, swim, bowl, skate, aerobics
• Auctions:
  Donated goods, furniture, hand-made goods, quilts, services, catered meals
• Galas:
  Black tie dinner, concert, garden tour, homes tour, art show, theatre performance, beach party, boat cruise, celebrity luncheon, talent show
• Sporting Event and Tournaments:
  Baseball game, football game, golf tournament, tennis tournament, fishing derby, pool/billiards/darts tournament, etc.
• Other Ideas:
  Garage sale, bake sale, penny/nickel/dime/quarter/ loonie/twoonie drive, car was/pet wash, arts & crafts sale/show, dress down (or dress up) days, raise a set amount to make your boss do something, eg. make a lunch for the team, shave a head, etc.
